Cloud with some sun

General:

Meeting some mates in Hanmer for a zero day. Great to catch up with friends. Enjoyed some quality hot food, a few chilled drinks and some rugby league to celebrate St Paddy’s Day!

The images below are from an encounter I had with Naultinus tuberculatus (West Coast – Green Gecko or Mossy Gecko), some time over the past few weeks. They are considered nationally vulnerable and I’ve been advised by DOC not to reveal in a public forum where I found it, as poachers a likely to target them.

This was definitely a major highlight for me. She was so placid and happy to sit on my arm. Not much is known about this species but it is believed they live to around 25yrs of age. She’s an incredible looking animal with impressively striking colours and a roughly textured skin. I feel really lucky to have had this experience.

Body/Health:

Rested

Outlook:

Positive – Hope the weather holds for the Waiau Pass.

Tune of the Day:

1. Gravel Pit – Wu Tang Clan

2. I’m shipping up to Boston – Dropkick Murphys
