Started with heavy rain, then got progressively heavier & heavier until it was heavy heavy heavy rain. Heavy man.

General:

Enjoyed a cooked brekky with my new pals, then hit the trail. It’s a great section through here but a lot of very similar scenes along the way. The forests and views never get old to experience but to just write about them all again doesn’t really do them much justice. I quite enjoy walking in the rain but it’s definitely better knowing the hut will have a fire and dry wood. In this case, it didn’t. Bog Inn is an old research hut built in 1960. Roof leaks badly all over and no dry anything to light a fire with. Just needed to eat and then find the driest, warmest corner to wrap up and hunker down in.
